The Caledonian Inn
Right at your doorstep, The Caledonian Inn (affectionately known as ‘The Cally’) is a historic English-style pub in Robe, first licensed in 1858. Over the past 160 years, it has become a local landmark and the place to come for food and a drink by the beach in Summer or by the cosy hearth in Winter.
The dinner menu features a variety of classic pub dishes, including chargrilled Angus steaks, seafood platters, and tasty curries from their Sri Lankan chef. Notably, the Inn offers local crayfish, which can be pre-ordered in Summer and is served with chips and salad. Check out their menu.
The Inn is open daily from 11am until late, with dinner service from 6pm to 8:30pm. Reservations for dinner can be made by contacting the Inn directly.
Live Music: The Cally has a lively beer garden that hosts live music on selected nights. If you’re staying during these events, you’ll hear music, especially in the back rooms. For those sensitive to noise, we recommend checking the Caledonian Inn’s event schedule to plan accordingly.
Drift Cafe
Wake up to your morning brew just steps away at Drift Café. A vibrant, architecturally designed coastal cafe known for its all-day brunch and delicious coffee. Drift features a bright indoor space, an undercover deck, and picnic tables on the lawn – perfect for soaking up the seaside atmosphere.
Open daily from 7:30am to 2:00pm, Drift Café is pet-friendly and offers vegetarian and vegan options, making it a must-visit for anyone exploring Robe. Check it out here.
