The Space
Inside, you’ll find a compact kitchenette, a cozy downstairs living area warmed by a wood burner, and an upstairs lounge with sea views, a writing desk, and a tranquil loft-style Queen bedroom. Wake to the sound of waves, sip coffee on your private Juliet balcony at sunrise, and wander straight onto the sand for morning beach strolls.
Part of a four-cottage complex, each Cottage balances privacy with a friendly community feel. Whether you’re here for a romantic escape, a quiet solo retreat, or a quick work trip, you’ll find the space to slow down, reconnect, and soak in the salty air.
Ground Floor
The lower level offers a compact yet well-equipped kitchenette, a bathroom, and a cozy living area. Whether you’re curling up on the couch to watch TV or gazing out over the sweeping lawn, the space invites you to slow down and relax after a day by the sea. The bathroom is conveniently located on this level for easy access.
Upstairs Loft
The upstairs loft is a light-filled open area, thoughtfully styled for both rest and creativity. This space features a Quenn bed with room to accommodate a port-a-cot for small children [available on request].
A writing desk offers a quiet nook to journal or work, while the lounge area by the Juliet balcony is the perfect spot to unwind. Open the doors to let in the ocean breeze and enjoy golden hour views across the lawn and towards the water.
The Property
Cottages by the Sea are part of the exclusive Splash by the Sea complex in Robe. Each cottage enjoys its own private entrance and dedicated parking space, ensuring a personal and convenient experience.
While the expansive beachfront lawn (and some outdoor areas) is shared with other guests, it provides a wonderful open space for all to enjoy, with easy, safe and direct access to the beach just steps away. The calm beach waters together with a pontoon located just offshore make it perfect for a fun, refreshing swim.
Whether you’re relaxing inside or exploring the beautiful surroundings, you’ll have everything you need for a memorable and comfortable stay.
The property is located near the Caledonian Inn, which has a lively beer garden that hosts live music on select nights. If you’re staying during these events, you will hear music, especially in the back rooms. For those sensitive to noise, we recommend checking the Caledonian Inn’s event schedule to plan accordingly.

The pictures don’t really do justice to the stunning place, lofty ceilings and stunning views out to the coast.
We had an absolute blast, enjoying the cafes and shops of Robe but also just chilling in the house
and making the most of the very well equipped kitchen. Loads of lovely touches, from the nourish balls,
wine and lots of snuggly blankets.
